" 'The Fury has something he wants to discuss with me,' said Father, who was allowed to interrupt Mother even if no one else was"(Boyne 116). This quote from The Boy in the Striped Pajamas is saying that there is someone by the code name of "The Fury". I want to know who this person is and does he really exist. "The Fury" is actually Bruno's way of pronouncing the word Fuhrer, which is the German term for "leader" and in this case was used as a title for Hitler. Since Hitler was the leader of Germany back during the holocaust, Fuhrer was a common name used to acknowledge Hitler. In the book it seems like a code name but it was actually just the easier way of naming Adolf Hitler, just like saying President in America instead of Barrack Obama. This is perfectly authentic, people did use the word Fuhrer in place for the name Adolf Hitler.
